Earlier in the year the members of Wild Medic Team Baishakh 2017 provided a number of remote medical clinics in the villages of Dhodeni and Bhirharka in the Helambu region. Members of the team had raised some funds to assist the village communities in Helambu and when combined with extra funds raised by Kate, an expedition member of Team April 2016, the funds were utilised to provide previously unobtainable items for the schools in these two villages.
The combined funds purchased 2 x computers, 2 x printers, 2 x photocopy machines, 2x cupboards and 2 x first aid kit for the schools.
It is always rewarding for all of us involved in WMP to see the individual initiatives of the team members themselves, past and present, really contribute to assisting the communities in so many additional ways!
This is exactly why The Wild Medic Project was established, to assist people and make positive contributions to society. It wouldn’t be possible without our band of willing wild medics so we must again say a big thanks to all our wild medics, past, present and future!
Please enjoy the photos of the delivery of the equipment to the villages.
